Two days ago I met a new friend online, His name is Alex Soulsby, a British man. He is a Photographer and a creative project manager for Royal and Derngates Theater. He is a very smart person and a good cook, an artist of fine art.

Trough his FB I explored a place which I’m going to tell on this blog.

Tuscany, a region in central Italy with area 22.990 square kilometers and has population of about 3.6 million inhabitants. Tuscany known for it’s beautiful landscapes, it rich artistic legacy and strong influence of high culture. It’s capital city is Florence. Florence as we knew is famous as one of the world most romantic destinations, and in fact so does Tuscany.

My friend, Alex and his girlfriend spend a full week of their vacation in his friend’s house up the hill in Tuscany. I saw the pictures his taken, and doesn’t need times to made me in love with this place. The house is a classical house, so typical Italian house made from stones on a very large area, it doesn’t need paint to make it pretty outside. It surrounded with olive trees and you couldn’t find any other house nearby.

The house is already beautiful and give you the sense of romantic, calm and warm feeling. The nature, well it up the hill, you can see the beauty of Tuscany from above. The green savanna, olive and pine trees everywhere makes you forget about the city life, there’s no traffic jam. It is truly a country life.

I’m sure Alex and his girlfriend got the best week in their vacation. If God’s allowed, I would like to experience my self the beauty of Tuscany. A place where all you can find is calm. I think it’s the perfect place for writers, song writers, painters, and other artist to get their inspiration. It proven as Tuscany has become the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.

People especially those from outside the country consider my country, Indonesia as a beautiful country with beautiful places and unique cultures. I do agree, I also consider my country is beautiful and there are places which I haven’t explore. But I couldn’t deny that I’m falling in love with Tuscany.

It would be great if the experience I’m going to get is as the same experience as Alex’s. Feeling the romantic, calm and warm sense of Tuscany with warm heart in warm arms of my beloved one.
